What are the dates of the fair?
The inaugural edition of Frieze Los Angeles will launch February 14–17, 2019.

What is the location of the fair?
The fair will take place at Paramount Pictures Studios, a historic studio lot located in Hollywood.

Who is the architect of the fair?
The architect Kulapat Yantrasast of wHY will design a bespoke structure at Paramount Pictures Studios.

Who is the Director of the fair?
Frieze has appointed Bettina Korek as Executive Director for Frieze Los Angeles. Korek brings more than 15 years of art world experience as an arts advocate, writer, and founder of ForYourArt, Los Angeles. A native of Los Angeles, Korek has organized the Participating Gallery program for the Getty’s Pacific Standard Time initiatives and is a member of the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.

What is the focus of the fair?
Frieze Los Angeles will be largely focused on contemporary art and celebrate the exceptionally dynamic culture of Los Angeles and its global contributions to the visual arts. Frieze Los Angeles will join Frieze New York, Frieze London and Frieze Masters at the forefront of the international art fair calendar, celebrating Los Angeles’ position as a global arts center and destination. The fair will feature Los Angeles’ defining galleries, from the city’s most established spaces to its youngest. A subsidized section will feature the best young galleries from across the city. Leading galleries from across the US and around the world will also take part, including many who have participated in Frieze Art Fair since its inception. The participation of these exhibitors offers a key opportunity for those who live, work in, and visit to experience Los Angeles in conversation with a global art audience, joining together in a unique, shared setting. 

How big is the fair? 
Frieze Los Angeles will be the most focused and intimate of the Frieze Art Fairs, bringing together 70 of the most significant and forward-thinking galleries from across the city and around the world. The fair experience will be completed by Frieze Week events across the city and a site-specific program of artist projects and commissions selected by Ali Subotnick in addition to Frieze Talks and Music curated by Hamza Walker.

How can galleries apply for the fair?
Frieze Los Angeles will be the most focused and intimate of the Frieze Art Fairs, bringing together around 60 of the most significant contemporary galleries from across the city and around the world. There is not an application procedure for the fair; galleries will be invited to participate by the fair's Selection Committee of galleries, chaired by Bettina Korek and Victoria Siddall. The Selection Committee members for Frieze Los Angeles 2019 are:

How can I attend the fair?
Tickets and admission details will be announced December 2018.  

How do I get to the fair?
Frieze Los Angeles is located at Paramount Pictures Studios. Access and admission information will be available January 2019. There will be no parking onsite so we recommend using rideshare or taxi transport options. 

Does Frieze produce any publications to accompany the fair?
Launched at Frieze New York in 2016, Frieze Week magazine celebrates the richness of the fair as well as the simultaneous surge of cultural events that take place across the city. The magazine is available for free at the fair.
